How can your skills and your joy help make the music?

Orchestra Hospitality
Happy musicians make good music!
• Rehearsals - Help provide some light treats for hard-working musicians
• Chamber Concerts - Bring lunch for the soloist and chamber ensemble
• Pops by the Sea - Keep the orchestra hydrated, well-fed and happy

Music Education

Bringing great music to the classroom
and the classroom to the concert hall

• Free Dress Rehearsals - Be an ambassador and greet the crowd
• The Music Van - Visit 3rd graders across the county with violins and trumpets and drums, oh my!
• Youth Symphony Auditions - Help calm nervous jitters and ensure an enjoyable experience for these talented young people

Concerts and Events
Making music …and making money to make the music
• Soloist Hospitality - Greet Symphony guest artists at the airport, help them get to know our community
• Chamber Concerts – Usher at one concert and earn complimentary tickets to another!
• Opening Night President’s Reception, Symphony Ball and Auction, Annual Donor Reception - Help decorate and set the stage for these signature Symphony events

An Evening with Maria Jette
Tuesday, March 10, 2009 • Arroyo Grande • $50 per person
Join effervescent soprano Maria Jette at the Nipomo home of Mark and Denise Sherman for an interlude of light hors‘d oeuvres, light operetta and light-hearted fun.

How do I sign up?

First of all, you have to meet a couple of small requirements:
    •  Be able to lift 30 pounds or more 
(If you have trouble lifting, give Sandi a call at (805) 543-3533.  We'll talk!)
    •  Make a voluntary membership contribution
    •  Be willing to contribute at least 20 hours of service per concert season
    •  Click here to download the printable application form.  
    •  Print out the form, fill it out and return it to the Symphony office!
