APEX FOR KIDS - CHILDREN'S CONCERT

Every year the Symphony welcomes busloads of students to the Performing Arts Center for a concert program designed especially for them.

Transportation Funding and Grant Writing Workshop

Target is providing Field Trip Grants again this year to schools across the country that cover transportation costs for students to visit concert halls, museums and theaters.  Funding is also available through YOPAC's transportation scholarship program. The symphony will be offering a free grant writing workshop for principals and classroom teachers on Tuesday, September 14.  To reserve your spot simply contact Andrea Stoner at 543-3533 x103 or andrea@slosymphony.com.

Teacher Workshop

Discover the artist within!  Join us for our free Children’s Concert Teacher Workshop where we will explore the concert repertoire though arts-integrated lessons that will bring music to life in your classroom and prepare your students for their experience in the concert hall.  Professional development credit for attending the workshop is available through Cal Poly State University.
